About The Church
Kimesville Road Missionary Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, missionary Baptist church. Organized in 1976 under the leadership of Pastor Max Rich and holding it’s first meeting in a house located on Kimesville Road just west of the present location. The property has undergone many new remodeling projects and the life center was added in 2006. The church currently serves under the leadership of Pastor Jay O’Dell and family.
Pastor Jay O’Dell accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour in July 1992. He began teaching Sunday School, being active in the bus ministry, working with youth, and serving in various ministry needs shortly thereafter. He surrendered to preach in 2009. He earned a Bible degree from Greensboro Bible Institute and is currently obtaining a degree in Pastoral Theology from West Coast Baptist College.
Pastor Jay and his wife, Sharon, have three children; Johnathon and his wife, Brittany, Amber and her husband, Peter, and Amanda who still lives at home. They also have two grandchildren, Aidan and Savannah Grace, and 5 grand dogs, Xina, Mollie, Copper, Shotzie, and Moose.
